Art Therapy: Cathy Malchiodi at TEDxOverlandPark

Cathy Malchiodi, a leading expert in art therapy, delivered a powerful TEDx talk at TEDxOverland Park, highlighting the transformative potential of art therapy in people's lives. With over 25 years of experience in trauma intervention and disaster relief, she advocates for the use of creative arts therapies, such as art therapy, music therapy, and movement therapy, to promote recovery and wellness in individuals and families.

The video footage of Cathy Malchiodi's TEDx talk was captured at Joint Base Lewis McCord in Washington state. Dr. Cohen, a guest of the "I Was There" film program, included Cathy Malchiodi in the edited video as she had written the foreword to the book and is an expert on trauma and the use of art therapy in the military. The video was edited by Dr. Cohen, who collaborated on the book with Benjamin Patton and Rivka Tuval Maschiach.

The accompanying music in the video includes tracks from "Pacific Rim" by Ramin Djawadi, "Ender's Game" by Steve Jablonsky, "Blood Diamond" by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, and "The Shawshank Redemption" by Thomas Newman.
